The best shower of the summer at the “J” and on to Missoula......the views driving the last two days have been spectacular beyond belief. For a while the camper was getting pretty buffeted around by the wind while driving.
The food is not worth the view at Hooter’s...remind me to never go there again. Worked on this blog for a long while though....
Got a haircut from some insane lady...she had this unusual technique of combing, pulling, and cutting the hair all at the same time....all while my hair was dry. I think more hair came out from the pull than the cut.....it felt delightful.
Got rid of one of my Surfing Sizemore bobble heads that I received at the Cleveland Indians game a few weeks back to a fan in the local fly shop.....he loved it.....and spilled a few fishing spots.
I got a tip that I should go see “the wave”. It was this lone wave in the town center created as a memorial to this world class kayaker who was killed at age 22 from Missoula. I thought that was pretty cool......way better than some stone memorial...It was sort of a perpetual motion memorial.....there were three boats working the wave and flipping all over the place. An inscription read...
“In the end.....it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years”

Went to a Missoula Ospreys game at night......it was a really good game...lots of scoring and comebacks. I and others around me got a kick out of this sped kid named Kyle who was a diehard fan. He knew everyone in the park and went about watching the game in what I would call, the perfect way. He sort of kept a casual eye on the game while engaging everyone from the mascot to the players in conversation. He was a hoot.....you could tell he just loved going to the games. There was even a pole set up in center field that had attracted a family of real osprey to nest there....they didn’t seem to mind all the commotion of the game.
Super Wal-Mart......23 other campers.

I am enjoying the posts thoroughly...Appreciating the work you're putting in. I am pretty psyched I found a way to add a photo of thyself on the followers portion and also found out how to comment.
ReplyDeleteYou can't beat a good Abe quote...my favorite is:
Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.
